Free "Not In Our Hotel" Training Program
The Not In Our Hotel training program empowers hospitality staff to Recognize, Respond, and Report suspected human trafficking. It is completely FREE and available to all hotel employees across Alberta, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia.
Tourism Excellence North | Online Training
Tourism Excellence North (TEN) is a resource of online, self-paced courses for business owners and operators, from budgeting to market research.
Central Counties Tourism | Tourism HR Canada's Belong Program
Tourism HR Canada, in partnership with Central Counties Tourism (CCT), is expanding access to Belong: Accessible Tourism Workplaces, an industry-validated eLearning program that helps tourism businesses build more inclusive, accessible, and supportive workplace cultures.
Available free of charge through CCT's Learning Lab until July 2028, the self-paced online training provides practical tools and knowledge to support employee onboarding, workforce development, and ongoing professional learning across Ontario's tourism sector.
Developed by Tourism HR Canada under its Emerit training brand, the program includes short modules covering topics such as accessibility, inclusive workplace practices, mental health awareness, workplace accommodations, and reducing barriers to participation in the workforce.
The training is suitable for tourism operators, accommodations, attractions, municipalities, destination organizations, industry associations, staff, supervisors, managers, and organizational leaders seeking to strengthen workplace culture and support a diverse and resilient workforce.

The Tourism Workplace Accessibility Clinic supports tourism employers across Canada in tackling staffing shortages by connecting you with a skilled, often-overlooked local talent pool: people with disabilities.
Propel Student Work Placement Program
The Propel Student Work Placement Program connects post-secondary students with paid, hands-on experience in tourism. Led by Tourism HR Canada and funded by the Government of Canada, it supports employers with wage subsidies and helps build a skilled, diverse workforce.
